Let me tell
you how I came to write the song..... I was at school one day,
and a lady came up to me with a brochure. She said "Linda I just
felt to give you this." I looked and saw a brochure on abortion.
I wasn't sure why I was being given such a brochure, and she then
said "Maybe you'll get a song from it, there are so many people
who have lost children through abortion, and they need to be
healed and restored .”
I took the brochure
home, read it, and asked God to let me see His heart for the
people who had lost children, and said " God if you have a song
for these ones, please will you give it to me?' You see God
Himself sent Jesus to Earth so we might find restoration through
Him back to God Himself, God Himself cared so much about us
He sent His only son to Earth to die for us. The Word of God
tells us that God has pre-destined a place for us, and a plan for
us, and sometimes it is His plan to take back a precious child,
no-one knows why, only God Himself. But we can rest assured that
our children are being cared for by Our Heavenly Father, until the
time comes when we too go to be with Him.
I started to
write words, and sing the melody at the same time. I wrote the
words and looked at them, I didn't really understand what I had
written, then I realised that it was a child speaking to their
parents on Earth. I cried and cried, as the thought of losing
such a precious treasure is too incomprehensible. As the days
went on The Lord revealed to me that the song was for those who
had lost, not only their own children through abortion, but for
those who had lost children from other causes, for mothers and
fathers and relatives, anyone who had lost a child.. I also have
a sister in Heaven, one who was born in the world’s eye “before
her time” I know that I will see her one day too, when I get
there. I had never thought of it that way before… It was
such a joy to know that she didn't suffer on Earth, but that The
Father Himself had decided that she was too precious to be parted
from Him for so long, and her destiny was to be with Him even
before she had a chance to live on Earth.
I pray and
hope that these words will bring comfort, where there has been
deep sorrow, and that you too will come to know The Lord of The
Heavens and the Earth who cares so much for us that He would give
words of comfort to a stranger for you, to let you know that your
precious child is safe ..... until you meet again.

colours) in the depths of the earth (a region of darkness and
mystery)

none of them.
